Tony in Asia: 3-city Mega Guru Tour
In March/April this year, Tony took on the grueling 3 consecutive Asian cities workshop/mental literacy promotion tour. This was followed by 8 workshops over 2 weeks in Singapore.
The 3 Asian cities he covered were Manila (Philippines), Bangkok (Thailand) and Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam). The workshop-tour was organized by the Institute for Training and Development Group (ITD) as part of their Mega Guru Lecture Series. The workshops, entitled Unleash the Genius of Creativity & Innovation, were well attended (varied from 200 to 250 participants per city).
In between the workshops, Tony undertook the additional schedule of press and TV broadcast interviews. There have been very enthusiastic responses flowing endlessly from all his participants especially those who have never heard of Mind Maps and Tony.. The media coverage was extensive as Tony was featured in major magazines, newspapers and two prime time television programs from Vietnam.
Program for Tertiary students
Following the success of a pilot blended-learning program for the University of SIM (UniSIM) in Singapore, BCA (in consultation with Tony) is launching a program for the tertiary students.
The program will cover the core mental literacy skills of Mind Mapping, Speed Reading and Memory. These skills are key for tertiary students (diploma, undergraduate and post-graduate levels) in tackling examinations, project works, discussions, presentations and researches.
Here are some comments from UnSIM students who have taken the course:
"Mind Map helps in improving my memory as it sums up all the information that I have studied in a clearer way."
Alicia - undergraduate
“Mind Map makes revision easier and improve understanding of a topic.”
Xiao Tian - undergraduate
"Other than studies, I use it on daily life too. Speed reading is useful when I need to quickly skim through the required materials."
Xue Fen – undergraduate
“I use Mind Mapping to develop better understanding of the topics for my exams.”
Raymond Ng – undergraduate
